FRISCO (CBS11) - Frisco Police arrested a wanted sex offender after people inside a kids dance studio noticed a man creeping on the facility.
Calvin Joe Rodgers Jr., 28, was released from prison back in September. Investigators said he failed to register with a local law enforcement agencies about where he would be living. A warrant was issued for his arrest as a result of failing to do so according to police.
An instructor as KJ Dance studio said people had noticed a man lurking outside over the last few weeks but did not think much of the actions. After seeing the man for a third time, a mom decided to call 911.
Police arrived and the description matched Rodgers. Investigators then discovered he was wanted by police.
"It is frightening because I didn't know he was a sex offender until my boss called me and said he was registered with multiple warrants. I'm thinking what in the world!" said Audrey Spurlock, a dance instructor.
Frisco Police said officers are grateful the phone call was made to them.
They urge anyone in the community to call 911 if they see something suspicious because often it can turn out to be a bigger issue.
