DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas Police have arrested a man for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman on Saturday, November 5 around 4:30 a.m. near the intersection of Lake June Road and North Prairie Creek Road.
Police charged Cesar M. Gonzalez, 33, with sexual assault. His bond is set at $100,000.
Police said a woman called after the alleged assault saying she'd accepted a ride with Gonzalez, who she didn't know, and he drove her to a residential area. Police said during the alleged assault inside his pickup, Gonzalez claimed he was either a Dallas or Dallas County officer.
The victim was able to get out of the man's truck and get the license plate number.
Dallas Police said they were able to find the truck and determined the registered owner matched Gonzalez's description. Detectives got a search warrant, interviewed Gonzalez and arrested him.
Police said Gonzalez is not a suspect in any other crimes at the moment.
Gonzalez was arrested in December 2010 for impersonating a public servant and received five years probation.
