Sex Assault Suspect Called Victim's Mother As Police Chased Him
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – As sexual assault suspect Noah Timmons led police on a chaotic chase up and down multiple North Texas highways and through numerous cities, he was apologizing to the mother of his six-year-old victim.
The nearly two hour chase began moments after Balch Springs police attempted to arrest Timmons for four counts of sexual assault of a child, the daughter of his girlfriend. At one point, Timmons fired at least nine shots at officers.
"I wish he wouldn't have did this but now it's over," the woman said. CBS 11 is not identifying her to protect the identity of her daughter.
Timmons' girlfriend says she was following behind the chase, talking with Timmons as he tried to elude police. He told her was sorry all while he posting apologies and a video on Facebook as he drove. During the phone conversation, his girlfriend says he told her he didn't want to go back to jail and was going to kill himself.

"I said 'Please, don't do it.' He said 'OK.' I said 'You promise?' He said 'No' and that was like the last conversation we had," she said. "He admitted and told me he was sorry, he'd been abused all his life, but he knew that wasn't any excuse."
The victim's grandmother also talked to CBS11, saying Timmons took the cowardly way out to avoid prosecution.
"That saddens me because at the end of the day the victim is my granddaughter and it's turned into a story about a police chase," she said. "I never got to ask him 'How could you?'"
Timmons eventually crashed and when police approached they found him dead from a self-inflicted gun shot wound.
Balch Springs police say they will continue this investigation to identify if Timmons had any other young victims.
