Police: Chase Through Dallas County Involved Persons Of Interest In Murder Investigation
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Authorities in North Texas chased a vehicle from Rowlett to Dallas and then eventually Garland in regards to a murder investigation out of Royse City, police say.
Authorities say the Royse City and Rowlett police departments, along with the Texas Rangers and Texas Department of Public Safety, executed search and arrest warrants at a home in Rowlett and apartment in Arlington in relation to a double homicide investigation in Royse City.
According to police, two suspects -- Calvin Earl Rayford, 18 and Dearis Rayvone Davis, 27 -- were taken into custody without incident in Arlington.
In Rowlett, two persons of interest drove past the home as authorities were at the scene.
A chase ensued after Rowlett police tried to stop the vehicle.
The chase soon involved Dallas police as it made its way through the city. The chase went through Highway 75 and I-30.
The chase eventually stopped near an apartment complex at I-30 and Roan Road in Garland. The driver could be seen getting out the vehicle and laying on the ground with officers pointing their guns at him. The driver appeared to have his hands up the whole time as he got out of the vehicle.
