Security Guard Shot At Dallas Private Party
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -- A security guard was shot Thursday night at a private party at the Fiesta Event Center in Dallas.
Police were called to the scene at 704 South Walton Walker just before midnight. The event, which did not serve alcohol, took place in one of the large banquet rooms at the facility.
During the event, a disturbance broke out and shots were fired. A security guard working the event was struck.
The injuries sustained by the security guard are not believed to be life-threatening.
The party provided their own security staff at the event.
Club Rio, which is located next to the event center, was the scene of a deadly shooting early Tuesday morning. The club was closed on Thursday night and was not affiliated with the event.
