GRAPEVINE (CBSDFW.COM/AP) – A day after a 26-year-old man walked onto a plane at DFW International Airport without a ticket, the Transportation Security Administration said it has made "adjustments" to the screening area and "added more barriers".

Airport officials said the man's car that was left curbside Sunday evening, outside terminal D, was searched and no threat was found.

An airport agent contacted law enforcement after the man boarded the plane. He was arrested on a charge of criminal trespassing.

While the TSA continues to review the incident, aviation security consultant Chaim Koppel said it doesn't appear to be a case of a failed security system but a case of human error.

"Someone should get fired because it's something too obvious to miss," said Koppel, the president of International Security Defense Systems. "They (TSA screeners) are humans. They can look to the left, look to the right, close your eyes for a second and something happened."

The TSA released the following statement on Monday.

"TSA is reviewing the incident and is working closely with the airport, local law enforcement and stakeholders to ensure that all of our checkpoints at DFW reflect optimal security configurations. Immediately following this incident, TSA made adjustments to the DFW screening area and has added more barriers, and is working to identify other long-term solutions that may require physical adjustments to the area. As always, TSA continually evaluates checkpoint configurations and passenger flows at all our airports to ensure physical security."
