DENTON (CBSDFW.COM)- Digital billboard signs are up with pictures a missing Denton boy and his father.
An Amber Alert was issued Saturday night for the 4-year-old Richard Alekzander Lara, after his mother was found dead at her place of employment.
27-year-old, Maria Isabel Romero Medina' body was found at, Sanchez Insurance and Tax, in the 1100 block of East McKinney Street Saturday evening.
A customer tried to enter the business but the doors were locked, although it was during business hours.
An employee of the business came to the location to open the doors and found the Medina's body inside the business.
Police said Medina was last seen early Friday morning and she text a family member at 4:30 pm Friday.
Police are not releasing the details of how exactly when she was killed.
Denton Police have not been able to make contact with the child's father, 23-year-old Ricardo Martinez, who is a person of interest in the case.
Police are concerned about the boy's welfare because they say Martinez was angry at his mother.
"We do know there's been some custody issues with the child, as far as any violence between the father and the mother, we're not aware of that," explained Denton Police Officer Shane Kizer.
Investigators are concerned that Martinez may have left the area with the child.
He has ties to Springfield, MO, Chicago and Mexico City.
