DALLAS – Searchers recovered the body of a man at Mountain Creek Lake on Saturday after authorities responded to reports of two people being swept away, according to authorities.
The search continues for a child, said Jason Evans, a spokesman for Dallas Fire-Rescue.
Dallas Fire-Rescue, Dallas police and the Game Warden's Office have been investigating the 911 call that came in at 1:37 p.m. near 2779 Mountain Creek Parkway
"Reports indicate one person was swept under while fishing in a creek in the area," Evans said. "A second person jumped in to rescue the first and was also swept under; and neither ever resurfaced."
The man's body was recovered about 5 p.m. The Medical Examiner's Office will confirm his identity and the cause of death, Evans said.
