Sean Lee Becomes Leader For Cowboys Defense

OXNARD, CA (AP) - Sean Lee already knows virtually every detail of the Dallas Cowboys' complicated defensive scheme.

Fellow linebacker Victor Butler says Lee's knowledge is amazing and that he could probably coach the defense.

Defensive coordinator Rob Ryan says Lee, basically the quarterback of the defense calling signals, has earned the respect of his teammates.

And they're talking about a guy going into only his third NFL season. Lee is an intense high-energy linebacker who became a starter last year and then played the second half of the season with a broken left wrist protected by a bulky cast.

Lee still had 131 tackles, 52 more than any other Dallas player even while missing a game for the Cowboys (No. 15 in the AP Pro32).
