'Scrooge' Caught On Tape Stealing Xmas Package Off Porch

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A Fort Worth woman is furious after watching video from her home surveillance system. The woman, who spoke exclusively to CBS 11 News, says her Christmas gifts were stolen right off her front porch.
You're familiar with the terms Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but what about Blue Tuesday and Enraged Wednesday? That's the feeling Melissa Land says people experience when someone steals from you.
It's a crime that is happening more and more. As you use the web for holiday shopping, thieves are watching and waiting for those items to be dropped off, so they can grab them.
This week, the crime that happened to a Fort Worth woman was caught on camera.
Land said she could barely believe what she saw when she looked at her home security video. "I was shocked. I was like, are you kidding me?!" The mother says she burns with anger every time she sees it.
Land's house has a series of cameras positioned around it for protection. Monday, a deliveryman brought a box of gifts and clothes and left it outside. "It was all the kids' Christmas clothes," Land explained. "[For] my kids and grandbabies."
About 40 minutes after the package was delivered, the video shows another person approaching the house. "This is where she pulls up," Land said, giving a play-by-play of the recording.
The woman, along with another person, swiped the holiday delivery from Land's porch. The box is loaded into a waiting car and the pair drives away.
Land remains uncomfortable showing her face on camera, but she believes someone can identify the face of the woman in the video.
"[If] they see her, know her, they're gonna see the way the lady walks… they're gonna know who it is. She's taking from kids, whoever. She needs to stop it. And if she does it again, I hope they have a camera too."
On Tuesday the Fort Worth Police Department provided a safety list for home package deliveries:
1. Have the item delivered to a neighbor or relative who'll be home.
2. Request shippers hold the item if no one is home.
3. Request that a signature be required before a package can be delivered.
Police are looking for the woman caught on tape stealing. They believe she may be someone familiar with or who lives in the area. If you recognize the person in the above video please contact Fort Worth police.
