Schools close in Vernon due to boil water notice

VERNON, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) — Schools in Vernon have canceled school Tuesday due to a boil water notice.

The notice comes after an eight-inch water main break.

Officials said they will make plans to have water delivered to each campus if the notice is not lifted by Wednesday.
