Scandrick Could Report To Let Cowboys Practice Field Work Do His Talking

IRVING (105.3 THE FAN) -- At the beginning of last week, Orlando Scandrick popped into town for a meeting at Valley Ranch that sources tell 105.3 The Fan included a meeting with the Joneses featuring an exchange of mutual admiration between all parties.
As this week begins, involved parties believe the team's top cornerback might do some of his talking on the practice field.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has publicly expressed optimism about a negotiation that could increase Scandrick's 2015 salary of $1.5 million while also taking into consideration that his 2013 renegotiation guaranteed Scandrick $9 million.
Scandrick has yet to attend the Cowboys' offseason voluntary program that includes on-field work this week with coaches. An OTA is slated to begin May 26. A mandatory minicamp is scheduled for June 16-18.
Missing work outs can mean a forfeiture of $500,000 of Scandrick's base salary, but that can be made up for with a new renegotiated deal.
