As we get into the New Year there is a lot of great entertainment coming to town!
Catch master illusionist David Blaine as part of the Brinker Series at the AT&T Performing Arts Center this Thursday evening at 8pm. He promises he will not disappear on stage...but can we trust a a magician??!
Friday night you can see the Broadway award winning one man show Mark Twain Tonight starring Hal Holbrook. The actor portrays the humorist at age 70 in the popular show that will be performed the one night at 8pm at the AT&T Performing Arts Center.
Masters of Film Music continues it's series with Oscar winning composer James Newton Howard performing his hits with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Friday and Saturday nights. The Morton Meyerson will be lit up with the best in film as Howard brings PRETTY WOMAN and WATER FOR ELEPHANTS as well as many of his other movie scores to life on stage.
Also at the Meyerson - Sunday night The Black Academy of Arts and Letters presents the 29TH ANNUAL BLACK MUSIC AND THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT CONCERT - A Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at 7:30pm. The moving presentation will be performed one night only.
