We start off with the announcement of the 2012-2013 Lexus Broadway Series season at the AT&T Performing Arts Center - but I can actually only reveal that the Tony winning War Horse will be the centerpiece! It arrives in September for three weeks and the rest of the new season is equally as exciting but lips are sealed until Friday 3/23 at 6 p.m. when the official announcement will be made! What we can say is In the Heights continues at the Winspear through this Sunday. The multi-Tony award winning musical has a great message about family and traditions and what makes our neighborhoods and culture so important to our lives. Hip hop, salsa and mamba all play a part in the story about New York's Washington Heights 'hood where young and old mingle mixing up old and new school morals and life choices.
There's a new Cirque Dreams plays at the Verizon Theater in Grand Prairie this weekend. The amazing display of acrobatics and death defying skills of the performers will leave you mesmerized as the beats of contemporary pop music accompanies the beauty of the one of a kind entertainment.
Next week we will go on stage with one of the stars of the new Dallas Theater Center's production of Tigers be Still.
