Same Robbers Suspected In 3 Local Bakery Heists

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Wednesday morning in Fort Worth involved three bakeries, three robbers and back-to-back holdups.

Police believe the same three men, armed with a shotgun, robbed all three of the east Fort Worth bakeries.

Fort Worth police Officer Cliff Miller said while the investigations continue separate descriptions of the robbers are the same.

"The robbery detectives are taking the lead on this and we actually believe that the suspects possibly are the same individuals responsible for each of these robberies," he said.

The first robbery happened just before 6:30 a.m. when robbers hit Sunrise Donuts on Woodhaven Blvd.

Minutes later police believe the same trio robbed The Kolache Shoppe in the 6700 block of Brentwood Stair and later held up Breaktime Bakery on Meadowbrook Drive.

No one was hurt during any of the holdups. No word on how much money was stolen.
