ROWLETT (CBSDFW.COM) – A shooting on a highway in Rowlett sent two young men to hospitals Sunday.
Three men were driving south on President George Bush Highway when someone shot into their sedan around 3:20 p.m., hitting a 14-year-old in the backseat and the 21-year-old driving, Rowlett police say. The driver took the Lakeview Parkway/Main Street exit and pulled into a parking lot.
The 14-year-old, shot in the hand, was taken to Children's Hospital. The 21-year-old, shot in the shoulder, was taken to Medical Center of Plano. The third person, who was in the front passenger seat, was not shot.
