Garrett: Romo Not Ruled Out For Last Game Of Season
IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) - Following an MRI on his back, Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett says that Tony Romo is 'day to day' on his injury and would not rule him out for the final game of the 2013 regular season.
"I tweaked it in the game," Romo said after Dallas' 24-23 win over the Redskins, highlighted by his scrambling game-winning pass to DeMarco Murray in the final minutes. "For whatever reason, just the twist or whatever that was, definitely just made it not feel comfortable."
"We logistically have to bring another QB in." said Garrett at the Monday afternoon press conference. Garrett said that backup quarterback Kyle Orton would be ready if needed and talked about the 'similar' quarterback style of Orton and Romo.
A sources would not confirm the national report, but did tell 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher that the injury does tie to cyst/disc/spine surgery Romo underwent last spring.
Before the MRI, Romo vowed he would play in next Sunday night's in the NFC East "title game'' against the visiting Eagles.
