Romo Looks To Remain Perfect On Thanksgiving
IRVING (AP) In his first Thanksgiving start for the Dallas Cowboys, Tony Romo tied a club record by throwing five touchdown passes. The phenomenon dubbed "Romo-mania'' was at its frenzied peak that day.
Five years later, Romo has yet to live up to the hope and hype. But another wave of "Romo-mania'' may be approaching.
Romo goes into Thursday's game against Miami on a streak of three games without an interception. The Cowboys have won them all, pushing them into a tie for first place in the NFC East.
Romo has always shined on Thanksgiving. He's 4-0 on the holiday, with 12 touchdowns and two interceptions.
The Dolphins are 3-7, but have won three straight without giving up a touchdown and have many former Dallas players and coaches who know Romo well.
