Romo Explains 'Back-Tightness' Absence

IRVING, Texas (105.3 THE FAN) – Tony Romo insists there is nothing to be alarmed about in the wake of him sitting Wednesday's practice, the Dallas Cowboys QB simply chalking it up to "back tightness."
"It's going to happen," Romo said, who did participate in walk-though and game-planning work. "It's going to pop up. I'm sure it'll happen throughout the rest of the season. You'll see a day here or there. ... You play this game. It's a very violent, physical game, and you throw the ball a lot and you do all these things. Sometimes it's just that tightness stuff comes up.
"I'll be fine," Romo said. "I'll be good to go tomorrow."
Romo joined Dez Bryant (shoulder) and Rolando McClain (groin) among Wednesday's sidelined Cowboys. That's the quarterback and arguably this team's best offensive and defensive players. It might not end up being alarming, but as 1-1 Dallas preps for Sunday's visit to St. Louis, it's certainly noteworthy.
"I mean, you want to go and do everything 100 percent," said Romo, 34. When you're coming off (back) surgery (as Romo is) you have to be smart with how the process goes and I think we've been that way and we'll continue to be that way."
