ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - You can't always get what you want, but you can see The Rolling Stones when they come to AT&T Stadium this summer. The legendary rock band announced details Tuesday morning about a new North American tour that will pass through North Texas on June 6.
The ZIP CODE tour is only hitting 15 cities, starting May 24 in San Diego. Other stops include Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Orlando, Indianapolis, Atlanta, Kansas City and Detroit. The tour ends on July 15 in Quebec.
"We are excited to be back in North America playing stadiums this summer," said frontman Mick Jagger in the written tour announcement released early Tuesday morning. "We are looking forward to being back on stage and playing your favorite songs."
The announcement promised classic hits from The Rolling Stones like "Gimme Shelter," "Paint It Black" and "It's Only Rock 'N' Roll."
"We love being out on the road," added bandmate Keith Richards. "I can't wait to get back on the stage!"
The band toured last year in Asia, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. They have not played North American stadiums since 2007, opting for smaller arenas in 2012 and 2013.
Tickets for the ZIP CODE tour go on sale April 13, with American Express card members getting early access. Click here for additional tour and ticket information.
