PLANO (CBSDFW.COM) - Fresh off of the Independence Day weekend, traffic troubles promise to cause headaches for some North Texas drivers. Improvement projects are leading to road closures throughout Monday and into Tuesday morning.

The Dallas North Tollway in Plano will see some closures from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The U-turn lanes at Park Boulevard and Chapel Hill Boulevard will be closed -- one at a time in 90-minute increments. This is right next to The Shops at Willow Bend.

Also on the Dallas North Tollway, the right northbound lane will be closed at Park Boulevard from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning. This will allow workers will begin reconfiguring the interchange at the Dallas North Tollway and the President George Bush Turnpike, and add another lane to the direct-connector ramps.

The interchange work there started three weeks ago.

But that is not all.

Beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Monday night and lasting through 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning, there will be a full closure of the eastbound LBJ Freeway between Marsh Lane and Midway Road. Workers in this area will be installing two large sign structures. Traffic will be detoured to the frontage roads.
