Former Texas Governor and presidential hopeful Rick Perry has a meeting with the President-Elect at Trump Tower in New York City today to possibly fill a spot in Trump's cabinet.
Much like Mitt Romney, Rick Perry was known to make his dislike of Donald Trump known during the presidential campaign.
Perry once said, "Donald Trump's candidacy is a cancer on conservatism and must be clearly diagnosed, excised and discarded."
He also said in that speech Trump was a, "barking carnival act." however, that won't stop Perry from having a sit-down with Trump on 5th Avenue later today.
The talk is Perry is under consideration to become the next Secretary of Veterans Affairs, but there's also been some speculation he may be a possible candidate for Defense Secretary.
He's also been mentioned as a potential Secretary of Energy.
Perry served in the U.S. Air Force from 1972 to 1977.
