Report: Mavs To Sign Free Agent F Charlie Villanueva
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -- The Dallas Mavericks have reportedly agreed to a contract with free agent forward Charlie Villanueva.
ESPN's Tim MacMahon says the deal does not include any guaranteed money.
The 6-foot-11, 232 pound forward appeared in 20 games with Detroit last season, where he averaged 4.6 points and 1.7 points per game.
The 30-year-old has averaged 5.1 rebounds and 11.5 points on 44 percent shooting over his 9-year career with Detroit, Milwaukee, and Toronto.
Villanueva was drafted out of Connecticut with the 7th overall pick in 2005. He was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 2006.
