Dallas Cowboys' guard La'el Collins is having surgery Tuesday morning on his toe for a torn ligament.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones confirms on The Fan that Collins is out for the season.

"It's disappointing" said Jones. "We had hoped that he might try and play through that (toe injury)."

Jones admitted that "several other opinions" agreed with what the team doctors had recommended; surgery.

"Le'el got conformation from two or three other doctors - and is going to have that surgery" said Jones.

In other Cowboys injury news, Jones says kicker Dan Bailey, LT Tyron Smith, and DB Orlando Scandrick could all be playing this Sunday against the visiting Cincinnati Bengals.

"There is a real likely [chance] that all three may be playing" said Jones, but warns "to be prepared for them not playing because they've got to get out there and see how it feels - to get some work in this week."
