ALEDO (AP) - Schoolchildren in a North Texas town are donning purple and cheering for the Baltimore Ravens on behalf of the family of defensive back Chris Johnson.

Johnson's two sons and daughter all go to school near Dallas-Fort Worth. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that the sixth graders at McAnally Intermediate School in Aledo held a rally Wednesday in which they ran through a banner supporting 12-year-old Brannon Johnson and his father, who will play this Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.

Students at McCall Elementary School are also rooting for Brannon's little brother, Christopher.

Christopher gives his dad "about a thousand percent chance" of winning.

The elder Chris Johnson was signed by Baltimore in November and had seven tackles this year. He's a native of Gladewater, in East Texas.
