Ravens, 49ers Fans Invade Local Sports Bars
ADDISON (CBSDFW.COM) - The two sports bars along Belt Line Road in Addison are less than a half mile apart, but on Super Bowl Sunday, they were on opposite sides of the sports world.
All season long, Addison Point was the unofficial bar for San Francisco 49ers fans. On Sunday, the bar was decorated in gold and scarlet red filled with heart-broken fans.
Just down Belt Line Road, Baltimore Ravens fans made the Buffalo Wild Wings their game day destination this season.
"We call it our mini Ravens roost," said Baltimore native Cheryl Koerner.
While cheering for different sides on Sunday, when it comes to being a fan in North Texas, both can relate to each other.
"It's tough being a sports fan of a team that's not a Dallas team because Dallas is very passionate about their sporting teams," said Ravens fan Christian Goff. " I can understand where the 49ers fans come from because we are in the same boat."
"This is Cowboy country," explained Koerner. "Everyone is an outsider."
