Rape Of Adopted Ohio Kids Unusual, Haunting Case

TROY, Ohio (AP) -- A 40-year-old western Ohio man returns to court in Dayton on Tuesday to be sentenced for crimes that have all but ensured that he will spend the rest of his life in prison.

He has already pleaded guilty to child rape and related charges in a haunting case that experts say is unusual because the perpetrator was an adoptive father and the victims were three boys in his care.

The repeated rapes of boys by an adoptive father who also arranged for two other men to rape one adopted son shocked unsuspecting neighbors, investigators and children's services officials.

The Troy man says he didn't adopt the boys with any bad intentions and is sorry for their pain.
