Rangers Ownership Reaches Out To Fans
The Texas Rangers renewed commitment to fan outreach continued this past weekend with "A Message For Texas Rangers Fans Everywhere" from the team's new ownership group.
The letter from Managing Partner & CEO Chuck Greenberg and President Nolan Ryan was published as full page advertisements from the club in Sunday editions of the Dallas Morning News and Fort Worth Star-Telegram as well as newspapers in the team's regional market area. That included Austin, Abilene, Oklahoma City, Longview, Shreveport, Tyler, Waco, and Wichita Falls.
In the letter, Greenberg and Ryan welcomed fans to a "new beginning" and welcomed suggestions and input on how "the Rangers cam better serve you".
"Nolan and I and our entire ownership group truly believe that this franchise belongs to the fans," commented Greenberg. "Towards that end, we plan to be more aggressive in our efforts to market the team and touch our fans, not only in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, but also in our extended community within hundreds of miles of Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. We will be reaching out to our great fans throughout Rangers Country."
Extended market plans for the 2011 season will include increased advertising exposure, an expansion of the team's winter caravan and other appearances, and sales initiatives to include community nights. More details will be announced as plans are formulated in the coming months.
"As we indicated in the letter, we want our fans to feel connected to this team," added Greenberg. "We plan to listen and respond and we thank everyone for their support."
