Rangers Fans Celebrate 2010 Team One Last Time

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Texas Rangers fans showed their true colors in their unwavering support for the team when 10-thousand of them gathered at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington to celebrate the Rangers 2010 ride to the World Series.

It was as close to a ticker tape parade as you could get, complete with confetti. By the looks of it, you'd have thought the Rangers won.

Anna King was there. "To let them know that we love them and we're excited and that we'll do it again next year!" she said.

Fans who couldn't afford a series ticket hoped to see their favorites here, fans like Dan Anderson who showed-up at the rally in Parking Lot J with the 300-dollar Josh Hamilton bat he bought in hopes the ALCS MVP would sign it.

"I think they did wonderful. They weren't expected to make it there and they did. They overcame everything. Hey. They did good enough for me," Anderson said.

Little Ron Washington, also known as Liam Roybal of Keller, was there too, having been picked up by the Rangers as part of their ride to the World Series.

Called up to the stage, Roybal gave his best Washington imitation. "That's the way baseball go!" Roybal said into the microphone.

The crowd loved it. But it was the player who took center stage in their hearts and minds this day.  "They made it to the World Series. They didn't win the World Series, but they made it farther than they've ever been," young Riley Kropff said.

Ranger fans are obviously ready for next year. They just wanted to hang onto this season a little longer.
