Rangers Extend Spring Invites To 4 Minor Leaguers
ARLINGTON (AP) — The Texas Rangers have extended non-roster invitations to major league spring training for four of their minor leaguers.
The Rangers announced Thursday that the invitations went to right-handed pitchers Cody Buckel and Nick Tepesch, outfielder Joey Butler and catcher Jose Felix.
Felix is the only of the quartet who has been in a major league camp, participating in the Rangers camp two years ago.
Buckel was 10-8 with a 2.49 ERA in 26 games for High-A Myrtle Beach and Double-A Frisco last season. He was selected the organization's minor league pitcher of the year.
They are among 23 non-roster invitees now on the Rangers' 63-player spring training roster.
