ARLINGTON, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - The Texas Rangers announced on Thursday that they have extended the contracts of President of Baseball Operations / General Manager Jon Daniels, and Assistant GM Thad Levine.

Terms of the extensions were not disclosed by the club.

When Daniels was hired for the top spot of the team's front office in 2005 at age 28, he was the youngest GM in Major League Baseball history.

Daniels current contract was set to expire at the end of the 2015 season.

Levine was also appointed to his current post in October 2005 and has been long rumored as a GM candidate himself according to sources.
