Rangers 3B Adrian Beltre Out Of Lineup Again
ARLINGTON (AP) - Adrian Beltre is out of the Texas Rangers' lineup for the third straight game even after the team got some promising news about his injury.
An MRI on Monday revealed some inflammation in his upper left leg. But the team says there's no problem with the bothersome left hamstring that forced the third baseman to miss six weeks last summer.
Before going out on the field for pregame batting practice for the series opener against the New York Yankees, Beltre said "it's not bad'' and that he expected to play again soon.
The Rangers listed him as day-to-day.
Beltre came out of the first game of Saturday's doubleheader at Detroit after hitting a double. He said then that it didn't feel anything like last year.
