Ranger Of The Week: Josh Hamilton
ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Some times you have a good week, other times you're just solid all around.
That's the way to describe Josh Hamilton's 2012 campaign so far. Solid all around.
In 19 games the left fielder is brining it stats that are nowhere out of left field. He's doing exactly what everyone expects of the 2010 AL MVP. His .390 batting average for the season is leading the team, so are his 8 home runs and 19 runs batted in.
For the week following last Friday's postponed game, Hamilton's hitting a decent .304 with 7 RBI's and 3 home runs. That's really good when you consider Yankees manager Joe Girardi was so afraid of him in a 7-3 loss Wednesday night that he intentionally walked 'Hambone' twice.
And for yet again being a force to be reckoned with at the plate, Josh Hamilton has been deemed this week's Ranger of the Week by CBSDFW.
The honorable mention goes to Yu Darvish, who was masterful in his all-but-one pitch shutout win over the Yankees Tuesday. In typical Darvish fashion he loaded the bases in the 3rd, but also in typical fashion he was able to get the Rangers out of the inning without a scratch.
On to another exciting week of Rangers baseball.
