DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - One person is dead after a fiery car crash in Dallas on Tuesday night. Witnesses said that the crash – near the intersection of Northwest Highway and Shady Brook Lane – was the result of street racing.
Two vehicles were traveling very fast along Northwest Highway, according to witnesses, probably around 100 mph. One of those drivers hit a puddle on the road and lost control, forcing the vehicle to hit several other cars and catch on fire. One person in that car died.

Another woman in a separate vehicle had to be rescued from the wreckage. None of the vicitms have been identified.
Witnesses said that the driver who crashed, and was thought to be racing, fled the scene. Police do not have an accurate description of the vehicle yet because of how badly it was damaged in the crash.
