Race Event Honors Fallen Texas Firefighters
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - National Fire Prevention Week begins on Sunday, offering an opportunity for people across North Texas to honor some of our most courageous heroes.
But before the week kicks off, Dallas Fire-Rescue is inviting everyone to come out for The Bravest Race on Saturday at Trinity Groves in west Dallas. A special ceremony before the race will pay tribute to fallen Texas firefighters including two from Dallas, four from Houston and 10 from the West fertilizer plant explosion. The event itself is a 5K run coupled with a fire safety fair.
