Purse Snatcher Targets Richardson Daycares
RICHARDSON (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Richardson are warning mothers to keep their purses close by when dropping off kids for daycare in the morning. According to authorities, a purse snatcher has been preying on moms at preschools.
In two cases over the past two weeks, mothers took their children into daycare buildings around 8:30 a.m. and came back to find their handbags missing. The first incident was reported in northeast Richardson while the second was on the southeast side of the city. Police believe that one thief committed both of these crimes.
In addition to taking purses inside, police said, mothers are encouraged to keep their vehicle's doors locked.
