Protestors Rally Against The "Redskins" Name Sunday

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - The controversial battle surrounding the Washington Redskins team name made its way to Sunday's game against the Cowboys.

A group behind an effort to change the Redskins name, "Texas Native Voices of Fairness," protested at AT&T Stadium.

"We're here, we're real people, we do exist -- we're here in Texas and the Washington Redskins are playing tonight and we hope they hear our words," said protestor Yolanda Bluehorse.

The ongoing "Change The Name" campaign is headed by the Oneida Indian Nation in New York.

The Oneida tribe is leading a nationwide effort to build support for changing the Redskins name and plans on airing ads like this in every city where the Redskins play a road game.  The group also plans to meet with NFL representatives about the name.  More details about the campaign can be found at changethemascot.org.

Washington team leaders have publicly disputed any implication of racism behind the name.
