Prosper Sex Assault Suspect Allowed To Return To School
PROSPER (CBSDFW.COM) - Over objections by the state, a Prosper student who was arrested as part of a sexual assault case is being allowed to return to school.
Garrick White was initially arrested on charges stemming from a party at a Prosper home last year after two teenage girls accused him and three others of sex-related offenses.
The grand jury indicted White on a lesser charge of unlawful restraint.
He had been barred from attending Prosper High School since his arrest, but now Collin County Judge John Roach is allowing White to return to class - with condition. He has been ordered to stay away from his accusers and the School District has to make sure it happens.
If White does break his conditions his bond will be revoked.
White was one of four to be be arrested. The grand jury refused to indict the other three, including Darius McClinton-Hunter, son of professional baseball player Torii Hunter - who has filed a $10 million lawsuit against the parents of several teenage girls.
