Prosecution Rests In Christina Morris Kidnapping Trial

MCKINNEY (CBSDFW.COM) - The prosecution rested after a lengthy cross examination by the defense of the two Plano detectives involved in the Christina Morris case. The defense will call just one more witness, a cell phone expert, before the closing arguments begin.
Late Monday a Collin County Judge granted permission for a camera to be in the court room for closing arguments only.
Jurors in the Christina Morris kidnapping trial have been listening to arguments which all point to Enrique Arochi being the person responsible for the 23-year-old woman's disappearance from a Plano parking garage more than two years ago.
Arochi was the last person seen with Morris before she vanished. The two had been former high school classmates. Cameras at The Shops at Legacy captured Arochi and Morris walking together inside of the shopping center's parking garage. After police found matching DNA samples in the trunk of Arochi's car, he was arrested for aggravated kidnapping.
In a rare move, the judge allowed jury members to step outside of the courtroom on Friday and spend several minutes looking over Arochi's car in person, particularly at the trunk and damage that was done to the front panel. They were not able to touch or climb into the vehicle, nor were they allowed to ask any questions.
Arochi has denied having anything to do with the case, and the location of the victim's body is still a mystery.
A number of witnesses have already taken the stand in Arochi's trial including workers from the shopping center, technicians from Sprint and AT&T who discussed details of cell phone tracking, Arochi's ex-girlfriend and people who were partying with Morris on the night that she disappeared. Prosecutors also played video interviews between Arochi and detectives, from when he was first questioned about the case.
