Pro-Immigration March Planned For Tuesday

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - About 250 people from North Texas will travel to Austin Tuesday on buses, trying to rally against dozens of legislative bills they view as 'inhumane.'

36-year-old Maria Robles will be on one of the buses.  She is an Arlington resident who has a permit to work in the United States, but Robles says she has been caught in the legal cracks of current immigration laws.

"Being here since I'm four, this is my country.  In my heart I know no other country" says Robles.  "Where would I go to?  I have no idea."

Robles say she was born in the Mexican state of Zacatecas, but she was raised and educated in the U. S.

Organizers says five buses will leave four locations in North Texas; Cathedral of Hope in Dallas, All Saints Church in Fort Worth, St. Matthews Church in Arlington and St. Luke Church in Irving.  The buses are scheduled to leave at 6 a.m.

Sponsors of the legislation say they have proposed more than 60 bills during the current session of the Texas Legislature at the request of their constituents.
