Princeton Shooting Began As Road Rage
PRINCETON (CBSDFW.COM) – Princeton Police Chief James Waters says a Friday evening shooting began as a road rage episode in McKinney.
Waters said officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 1000 block of East U.S. Highway 380 at about 8:30 p.m. Friday and found a victim, who has not been identified, with a gunshot wound to the head. The victim remains in critical condition Saturday.
Waters said this person was the passenger; the driver was not hurt in the attack and was able to give police a description of the suspect.
Officers relayed the suspect's vehicle description to Texas Department of Public Safety troopers who quickly located the vehicle, which was still headed east on U.S. 380.
Troopers pulled the car over and found the handgun used in the shooting along with "multiple other weapons," Waters said.
Bobby Schule, 46, admitted to the shooting and was immediately arrested. He's been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and is being held without bond.
