Children and adults who are not immunized or have not completed the mumps vaccine series [two doses of the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine (MMR) should start or continue getting the shots, according to the agency.
Anyone with questions about the mumps can contact the Collin County Health Care Services Epidemiology Department at 972.548.4707.
