Popular TV Bakery Set To Rise In Dallas

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A slice of New Jersey is set to rise in Dallas when a popular bakery featured on the hit TV show Cake Boss opens a location here.
Carlo's Bakery will open its first Texas store in Preston Center in March.
The thirteenth location for owner and best-selling author, Buddy Valastro, the sweet shop will offer signature treats like cannoli and lobster tail, according to a release.
"We've seen incredible growth in the past year and I'm so excited Dallas is going to be a part of that!" said Valastro in a statement. "The city is filled with charm and warm hospitality, it really is the perfect fit for Carlo's Bakery. With so many families in Dallas, I'm looking forward to the bakery being welcomed into their homes and onto their tables."
Carlo's Bakery was established 1910 in Hoboken, NJ, but became a household name outside of the East Coast thanks to the TLC show, which is currently in its seventh season.
Currently under construction, the Texas bakery's location is 8319 Preston Road.
