Police: Victim Stable After Accidental Shooting In Omni Hotel

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — Police say the victim of an accidental shooting in the Omni hotel is in stable condition.

Dallas police responded to the shooting on the 23rd floor of the Omni around 10:30 p.m. Friday. The victim was inside a hotel room with friends when one picked up a handgun that accidentally went off and hit the victim, police say.

Police found the victim lying in the hallway with a gunshot wound in the torso. As of 8:30 a.m. Saturday, the victim was stable at Baylor University Medical Center.
