Police Trying To Identify Armed Metro PCS Robber

RICHARDSON (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Richardson are on the lookout for the man who pulled a gun and robbed two employees at a Metro PCS store.

The robbery happened last Wednesday, December 12, at the Metro PCS on N. Jupiter Road.

Surveillance video from the store shows the robber casually walking in and having a brief conversation with store workers. The man then pulled a black-colored pistol from underneath his shirt.

Workers told police the robber demanded money and ordered that the cash be put in a cloth bag that he had brought with him. After looking over the counter, apparently in an attempt to verify that all the money was removed, the robber ordered the employees to the back of the store.

After getting the cash the man walked out the front door.

The suspect is described as a black male, around 30 years old. He stood approximately 5'6", weighed between 160 and 170 pounds, was of medium complexion and had pockmarks on his face.

The robber wore black-framed glasses, had a thin goatee and mustache and at the time of the holdup was wearing a blue baseball cap with the word "Navy" in white letters across the front.

Police believe the suspect is the same man who has committed as many as nine North Texas aggravated robberies since June.

Authorities are asking that anyone recognizing the suspect or who has information on the robberies contact the Richardson Police department at (972) 744-4801.
