GRAND PRAIRE (CBSDFW.COM) - The man arrested after allegedly fatally shooting a 25-year-old at a Pleasant Grove tire shop yelled, "Muslim" as he fired at victims, according to police. He also said that he was a "Jew" and a "Christian," according to witnesses.

It happened at Omar's Wheels and Tires in the 3700 block of South Buckner Boulevard, near Military Parkway on Christmas Eve 2015.

Police said Anthony Paz Torres, 30, drove to the tire shop to pump air in his black Chevrolet Cruz when he asked about an employee.

Some of the shop's customers told Torres the employee wasn't at the shop but that he could put air into his tires himself. This apparently set him off, according to police. Torres allegedly walked back to his car, took out a gun and started shooting at the customers as they stood in the front of the tire shop, police said.

Enrique Garcia-Mendoza, 25, was killed. Another shooting survivor is Muslim.

Dallas police called the charges "biased crimes" in a press conference Friday evening.

Torres is in police custody on a murder charge. His bail was set at $500,000.
