DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - One person was stabbed to death late Thursday night in an attack at a northeast Dallas apartment complex, and three other victims are fighting for their lives. The incident happened at about 11:00 p.m. near the intersection of Forest Lane and the LBJ Freeway.
Police officers and paramedics responded to The Indigo on Forest apartments and arrived to find four stabbing victims and a trail of blood outside of a first-floor apartment unit. An Asian man died inside of the apartment before emergency officials could get to the scene.
The other three victims -- two Asian males and one Asian female -- were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The current conditions of these victims are not known.
None of the victims have been identified.
It is not yet known if the stabbing took place inside or outside of that first-floor apartment unit.
There have been no arrests made in this case. Detectives are still gathering details and trying to determine a motive for the violent attack. It is not clear if the hospitalized victims are even able to speak about what had happened.
Police also said that the only witnesses to the stabbing were two small children -- ages 2 and 3.
A neighbor said that he heard the commotion on Thursday night, but thought that it was just a simple disagreement. "I heard some arguing," added Samuel Smith. "I didn't think nothing of it. I didn't think it was going to result in someone getting stabbed back here behind my apartment."
