Police Searching For Restaurant Wallet Thief Caught On Tape

PLANO (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Plano are asking for help identifying the male suspect they say stole a wallet from a woman's purse as she dined at a North Texas restaurant.
According to investigators, the suspect was inside a restaurant in the 7200 block of Bishop Road late August 22 into early August 23.
Police say when the victim wasn't watching, the suspect slid her purse to the floor and behind a chair. The man then removed several items from the bag, including a wallet. Surveillance video from the restaurant shows the man reaching into the purse and removing items.
After taking the items the thief simply got up and walked away.

The suspect is described as a black male with a stocky build. At the time of the offense, he was wearing glasses, a button-down shirt with a t-shirt underneath and shorts.
