Developing: Child Taken From Denton Home
LITTLE ELM (CBSDFW.COM) - Information is developing around the case of the Denton boy reported missing from a family home in the 9900 block of Cedar Lane in Little Elm.
The boy's family told CBS 11's Arezow Doost that 5 year old Adrian Reyes was taken at the request of a parent, possibly his father. His mother is currently living in Mexico.
Authorities have confirmed with CBS 11 that Reyes was taken with parental consent.
Reyes was reportedly taken by a Hispanic man who walked into the Little Elm home uninvited and took the child against the will of his family. The man's identity or association with the family has not been released.
Investigators early Thursday morning took a minivan away from the home. It is unclear why officials are interested in that vehicle.
A man living at the house explained that Reyes had experienced a history of abuse.
The lack of details surrounding the case have caused authorities not to issue an Amber Alert. Investigators are not indicating whether or not chargers will be pressed.
