DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas police are searching for a 10-year-old girl who went missing from an apartment complex near Forest Lane and Audelia Road in the early morning hours.
According to police, the girl was reported missing around 1 a.m. Family members say the girl ran out of a home at the Indigo Forest Apartments after arguing with her parents and fearing punishment.
Relatives and security guards say they have spotted the girl in the complex twice, but that she was able to dodge and hide from everyone trying to catch up to her.
It isn't known if the girl is still hiding in the apartment complex. An Amber Alert has not been issued because police aren't sure if the girl has simply run away or been abducted.
The girl's name has not been released but she is African American, stands 5'9" and weighs about 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white shirt and khaki pants.
